In order to build muscle we must consume more calories than we burn, this is all well and good for enlarging our bodies where we need it but the extra calories also build fat, fat is something we don’t want so how do we overcome this. Traditional calorie controlled diets work in one sense but they rely on starving the body by limiting the amount of calories that are taken in, when building muscle mass this of course is the opposite.

Also most of the body fat lost by this method is from lean muscle tissue and bone density, the body builder wants to enlarge their body not shrink it. Here are some pointers for those wishing to lose body fat but not muscle.
